[attr="class","BOXU"] MANDATES A MUST READ FOR ALL PARTIES GENERAL- No graphic, sexist, racist, pornographic material will be tolerated. All members are expected to be respectful and tolerant of one another. TNT wishes to provide a safe, creative, and welcoming environment for everyone. This does not mean, however, that swear words are prohibited. Do not abuse this right.
- Continuing with the theme from above, staff are to have the upmost respect. Failure to comply with a staff member will result in punishment. If you are truly having an issue with a staff member, then please contact the creator, Scrimpy.
- Similarly, no stealing (ripping) of images, stock, characters, etc... will be tolerated. Punishment for this is an immediate and permanent banning from TNT.
- With that, no god-modeling or power play will be tolerated unless both roleplayers have consented to it and a staff member has agreed to it. A valid reason must be provided when seeking the permission to god-model and must be for only a short amount of time.
- All roleplayers are expected to maintain a master list (character log) of all their active characters. Members are also responsible for ensuring that their characters are updated regularly.
- Members that go inactive without an absent post consent to being deleted if not posted in the activity check. Members who are deleted forfeit all their account and character gains/items. So please, post in the absent board if you are not going to be here. New members who join have two weeks to post an application or a WIP application before being deleted.
- Unless bought from the TNT store, characters may not join with any items that are unnatural, weird hairstyles, unusual colorings/markings, etc... We are a semi-realistic roleplay with only hints of magic. Think of TNT like Game of Thrones; most characters do not possess any powers but are in a world where magic (in small amounts) exists.
- Time to play a game. What famous physics equation has psi in it? Need another hint? Then continue to read the rules!
In-character Roleplay- Liquid time is allowed for characters.
- Please abide by the posting order. You may skip the posting order if the next person to reply has not done so in a week.
- Designate between OOC and IC posting. Also, please avoid chatspeak. We are not 12 year olds here. If you are, then you are violating proboards terms.
- The central and eastern territories are a free-for-all range. Breedings (both consented and forced), claims (again both consented and forced), birthings, etc... may happen there. You cannot, however, kill another character without the other roleplayer's explicit consent.
- Other territories where the houses reside (ie north, south & west) have their own set of regulations specific to those territories. For information on those territories, go to that particular house's holdings and inside will be a locked, sticky thread with what is permitted there. Characters who fail to follow those regulations (and they can choose not to follow them) consent to being at the mercy of the reigning royals, including exile and death.
- Royals may not kill anyone in their lands for any reason without the roleplayer's permission, with the exception for those who disobey the territorial rules. Royals may, however, instill exile and any other punishments on characters within their territories for any reason. Y'know, corruption makes things fun.
- Lastly, no one may play the "Gods" or "Spirits" on TNT. We have specific accounts for those.
- All in character posts must be at least 250 words long. The exception to this is the gossip board.
- Characters in exile run the risk of being killed off four times a year (real time). Life in exile is hard, and most who are in exile do not survive for long. Therefore, once every four months (or one in game year) a character will be killed off. Of course, a roleplayer can buy an item from the store to spare their horse in this event. The only character exempt from being killed off is The Warden.
- Another hint? Is the cat dead or alive?
CREATION- Most characters created are already in their chosen house. There are exceptions provided to not being in a house, such as exile or being non-partisan. A roleplayer may also choose to have a staff place a character in a house for them by saying this explicitly in their application. Equines who are nonpartisan or in exile must provide a valid explanation for their choice and 250 word audition post.
- All equines are allowed, excluding those that are extinct. However, a good reason must be given as to how a friggin' zebra got here. Africa is a hella ways away from TNT. If you have one, then go right ahead!
- No deformities, wings, fangs, etc... are allowed for now. As for eye color, please try to keep it realistic. There is a post underneath character creation that deals with genetics.
- When creating a character, if genetics are not posted, then the staff will go ahead and generate a set of genetics for your character.
- New characters joining must be two years of age. We do not want a bunch of orphan foals running around the site. Exceptions can be made with staff approval.
- Canon positions are available when open, and anyone can audition for them. Members who own a canon and end up being deleted lose their canon position.
- Characters may be adopted. Characters that are adopted must comply with the rules set out for that particular adoption.
- It's the schrodinger equation. that's not the answer! keep reading!
JOINING/LEAVING A HOUSE- Nonpartisan equines may join any house of their choosing. To join, they must first obtain the permission of the reigning royal(s). Once granted permission, the equine may join any herd in the area, so long as they have consent by the leader of that territory.
- Equines leaving their house must make a public statement to the royal, laying out the reasons they are leaving the house. The royal has three days to respond. During those three days, the royal may do as they wish to the traitorous equine, including forcing them into exile. If the royal does not respond in three days, then that character is allowed to go freely.
- Characters in exile cannot return to the Slidr River Valley. Many have tried, but few are able to return and live in hiding for the rest of their life. This is in part because The Warden and houses share a mutual relationship. Often if a character escapes, The Warden notifies the houses, via crow, about the escapee. If caught, the escapee faces punishment that is deemed fit by The Warden.
- In some cases, a character in exile can be brought back to the Slidr River Valley. Rarely a royal has a change of heart but more commonly, a new royal comes into power and grants amnesty.
- Is the cat dead or alive?
CLAIMS/CHALLENGES- Only royals, herd leaders, and the herd's second-in-commands may force claim an equine.
- An equine can avoid being force claim by purchasing an item from the store.
- Stallions and mares may claim any equines. You may freely claim any equine in the central and eastern territories. House territories depend.
- Royals, herd leaders, or SiC must make their claims official by posting in their update board.
- Horses must be four years or older to claim or challenge for a territory.
- Only equines from their respective houses may attempt to claim an unclaimed territory. Royals may give these out to those who they see fit, but in most cases, an equine from their house may go and claim a particular territory if they have two followers that are not related by blood.
- Stallions who claim, must wait a week for challengers to approach before they are granted the territory. Mares must wait a week and a half to see if any challengers arise.
- Herd leaders can be challenged at any time, and at most, once a month. Once a challenger has posted, the leader has three days to respond to the challenge. During the challenge, each person has three days to respond. The fight ends when both opponents have used up all their attacks.
- During a challenge, each character receives 5 attacks and 2 dodges.
- The winner will be decided by the staff, and is based on the quality of the posts and character stats.
- Characters can challenge for more than territory, including mares, foals, etc...
- Royals can too be challenged. When challenged, they have the option of fighting themselves or choosing their strongest fighter to represent them. Just as in regular challenges, each opponent has 5 attacks and 2 dodges.
- Royals who lose are immediately exiled. The winner may also exile the rest of the royal's family, mate, etc... if they choose so.
- Royals may only be challenged once every 2 months.
- It's something finite!
BREEDING- Characters can freely breed/birth in the central and eastern territories. Like claims, house territories will depend.
- Absolutely no graphic breeding. If you must do a graphic breeding, then take it somewhere else that isn't proboards.
- Characters must be of four years of age to breed.
- Breedings can only occur between mares and stallions of breeding age (aka sexually mature heterosex).
- Once you have bred, please make a thread under TNT Generations with both parents' stats.
- Unless an item is purchased, the staff will roll the stats for the foal.
- The pregnancy will last 30 days. So on the 31st day, the mare may give birth.
- To give a new dynamic to the site, breeding and birthing can occur during any of the seasons! There is a catch. Each season will have different rates of conception and birthing. Please note, if your character is infertile, then they still may not conceive even if the conception rate is 100%!
Spring 90% conception rate | 80% live birth rate Summer 80% conception rate | 90% live birth rate Autumn 65% conception rate | 70% live birth rate Winter 50% conception rate | 50% live birth rate Ergo, we see that for best results, characters should breed in the spring months and birth in the summer months. This is quite easy to plan since 1 month in real life = 1 seasons. For those who are more visual, I have provided an official calendar of the months.
January ❅ winter February ✿ spring March ☼ summer April ☁ autumn May ❅ winter June ✿ spring July ☼ summer August ☁ autumn September ❅ winter October ✿ spring November ☼ summer December ☁ autumn - So close! Just one more section!
IMAGES- All images created must use the appropriate stock (CC license)
- All images must have the appropriate credits. Failure to do so will result in the image being replaced by something really, really embaressing. It'll make me laugh, but you might cry.
- Images should be no larger than 500 px (width) and 750 px (height). Again, if caught, I'll replace it with something to my amusement.
- Do not claim another person's artwork.
- Don't be a friggin' image/credit stealing douche? Okay? Ok.
- And well, well, here we are. At the very end and you're still looking for the password? it's a three letter word, the symbol looks like a trident, and it begins with "p" and ends in "i". There may be an "s" somewhere in the middle too.
